Why Email Marketing Matters
The digital world is a fleeting place, but email marketing is something that has been around for years. And for good reason.

Email marketing is important for the following reasons:

It has an excellent return on investment. Exact numbers vary, but reports show that email marketing has a ROI span of around 4200%. Or in other words, for every USD 1 spent, 1 USD of profit is generated.
There are over 5.6 billion active email accounts.

That’s roughly one for every person in the world.
People read and interact with emails. Constant Contact email marketing stats show that the average email open rate file is 16.97 percent, with a CTR of 10.29 percent.
It’s cheap. If you do things yourself, email marketing is a very affordable way to generate revenue or gain new customers.
It encourages people to take action.

When people open an email, taking action is an automatic response.

Especially if your content is interesting and relevant.
There are plenty of other reasons why email marketing is important, but I’m sure you’ve got the picture now.

What is an email marketing platform?
In simple terms, an email marketing platform is software designed to help you create, optimize and manage email marketing campaigns.

Most platforms come with some form of email builder, various analysis and reporting tools, and integrations to help you build your mailing list.

On top of that, you may be able to access pre-built email templates, design and spam testing, contact management features, a landing page builder, and more.

What should an email marketing tool do?
There are many things to look for when choosing an email marketing tool.

In my opinion, it is very important to put the following in the front of your mind.

user interface
This should be pretty obvious, but it’s important to select an email marketing tool with an easy-to-use and intuitive interface.

There is no point in using something that you find confusing – you will make things difficult for yourself.

models
One particularly important thing that I pay attention to is the size and quality of the tool’s email template library.

If you don’t have many design skills, creating your own emails on pre-made templates is a great way to make sure they are interesting and attractive.

to divide
Most email marketing platforms come with some kind of contact list segmentation tool, which basically allows you to create sub lists that you can use to help you target your campaigns.

Add a personal character
Quality email marketing tools should include some kind of personalization feature.

This basically means that emails target individual subscribers, with content added or removed based on the information you have about them.

Automation and integration
With email marketing automation, you can set up messages to be sent in response to specific actions and/or rules.

Examples of this include things like subscription confirmations, transaction messages, order/shipping confirmations, and more.

A test / B
With email/campaign testing tools, you’ll be able to experiment with different designs, content, time dispatch, and more to improve the effectiveness of your marketing efforts.

Reports and Analytics
In my opinion, this is something else that you should pay special attention to, as high-quality analysis and reporting tools will help you make informed decisions about your email marketing campaigns.
